Where in the world is Axel?

Axel went missing on November 17, 2006 at noon form Park City, UT. He was last seen playing in the yard and 10 minutes later he was gone. We began a foot and driving search immediately, which lasted for 5 days. We believe that he is out of Park City, therefore your help in spreading the word far and wide will be instrumental in his return.

Greetings from Schnauzer Recovery Headquarters!

Where in the world is Axel? We have a $1,000 no questions asked cash reward for whomever can answer that question and help return our boy to us!

It has been 12 weeks since our Giant Schnauzer Axel went missing from our Park City, UT home. We are still is disbelief that he is gone. We watch the weeks pass us by and we wonder where in the world is Axel? And of course, is he alright? We desperately want Axel home with us as soon as possible. However, it is our hope that wherever Axel is, that he is safe and healthy. We hope that he is being loved and cared for in a manner in which he is used to, and deserves. We hope that whomever has him realizes how much he is missed and does the right thing by returning him to us.

Axel has become a bit of a cyber legend! We have had support from individuals and animal rescue groups both near and far. Axel has a huge following at the Best Friends Animal Society in Kanab, UT (bestfriends.org) and Summit County Friends of Animals here in Park City, UT (http://www.friendsofanimals.net/). He has his own link on the Southern California Giant Schnauzer Rescue site (http://socalgiantschnauzerrescue.org/) and with a fellow Schnauzer family in Toronto, Canada (http://gslostandfound.tripod.com/). Axel's story also frequents the Yahoo Groups search list and site (http://pets.groups.yahoo.com/group/LostDogs/). And, he can be seen on YouTube.com with is very own lost video clip. We have had e-mails and calls of support from people all over the state of Utah, the country and as far away as Canada and Britain. His story has touched so many. And we have been equally touched by the outpouring of support. Axel’s story has also rallied support for other missing dogs, as our awareness and heightened sensitivity to the lost and stolen dog cause has given us the venue to help others search for their missing loved ones.

Axel’s flyers are still visible throughout Park City and the surrounding communities. We have and continue to receive lots of support from local merchants who allow us to periodically update the old signs with new ones. Every shelter and veterinary clinic in a five state area has received copies of Axel’s flyer. And, many call to check on his status, and to give us renewed hope in our search. We have friends, both new and old, posting flyers all over the country. It is this dedication that will help us find Axel.

With that we ask that you continue to remain on the look out for our wonderful boy. We know that it is the animal community that will help bring Axel, and other missing pets, home!
